Grant Park Security Patrol (GPSP)
Patrols continue to be effective. There has been one reported burglary in Grant Park in the past 5 weeks.

We do not have details on that one. It was at a duplex in the 800 block of Rosedale and it occurred on the afternoon of Saturday March 7.

Last week there were 2 auto thefts. One was a '93 Ford Taurus taken Friday AM at the Charter School parking lot. The other was a Jeep Cherokee taken from the 800 block of Marion. It was taken overnight Wed-Thursday. Zone 3 crime analysis officer has stated that there were 3 Accords stolen in the SW section of zone 3. A couple of Dodge trucks were targets but thieves were not able to steal them.

There was one reported vehicle larceny last week, 600 block of Grant, and there were none reported the first week of March.

While on patrol last Monday at 10 AM, Lt Guerrucci detained two 16 year old males who were wandering around on the east side of the neighborhood. They were detained for questioning and then returned to the high school. Anyone who sees juveniles in the neighborhood on a school day should always call 911 and report them as truants.

The new quarter has started and we ask for your continuing support. We'll be able to keep the patrols at about 40 hours per week through March and then we'll adjust according to the renewing quarterly membership. Online renewal is available at the GPNA website. Thank you for your support.
